SONOCO

Our online ordering is designed with convenience and security in mind. Log in, place your order, and check your cost in real-time. Then we ship when and where you want.

We can build a custom order form for your operations. Decide on the items to exclude, anything else you need and we’ll create it, distribute it, and maintain it. Then, when it’s time to order, your crew can just email or fax the order to us.

our quality

We stock over 1,500 different items. First quality products; no generic or “off brands”, seconds, or culls. Just good quality from inspected, licensed and approved suppliers.

Our Warehouse

We warehouse the groceries we supply. Our three warehouses comprise some 60,000 square feet of storage. Our freezer, a wind-hardened, state of the art unit, has nearly 100,000 cubic feet of capacity. In fact, we can store hundreds of pallets should the need arise during hurricane season and orders are put on hold.

If you need containers, we can provide them. We use intermodal containers with standard double doors, weathertight seals, and they are pre-slung with certified slings with engineering documents and test stamps. We also have insulated pallet boxes, which can store a large amount of frozen goods for up to 5 days in transit.

Fresh talk

Fresh matters. So we go beyond the extra mile to ensure that we receive the freshest products and our system ensures that you receive it fresh.

Dairy Products

Dairy products are delivered to us “just in time”, only hours before each order leaves for the dock. We’ve been doing this for years: if an order is being delivered today, then that is when we receive your items. After inspection, they’re loaded and off they go.

Produce

Fresh produce is delivered daily. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. From reputable regional and local suppliers.

Bread

Bread is delivered 5 days a week at a minimum. All goods are inspected before we accept them.

Quality Control

EVERYTHING is inspected before it is accepted. Our Quality Control Tech is responsible for checking – and approving – every item before it can be accepted by us. And when it is, our storage process makes it almost impossible for our order pullers to grab items with the wrong date.

Meat processing facility

Our USDA-approved, inspected and licensed meat-cutting facility. The 12,000 square foot facility also stores bulk purchases of primal cuts of beef. We process steaks, chops, roasts and other cuts of beef and pork. We also produce specialty items including a variety of sausages, smoked meats, as well as stuffed chickens, pork roasts and chops.

Buying meat this way allows us to offer a superior product, to offer a wider variety of products, and to know it was done safely. In fact, the ground beef we process is tested at a frequency more than 8 times more often than the USDA requires. By an independent testing agency (LSU AgCenter).
